Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Taskward collects through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it.
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Who we are
Taskward is a business technology and optimization company based in Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy and handle it in line with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
When you contact us. If you use our contact form, we collect your business name, your name, your work e-mail address, your industry, the services you are interested in and your message.
To protect the form from abuse. We keep a one-way fingerprint of the network address a message came from, not the address itself, so we can limit spam.
Client portal accounts. If your business uses our client portal, we keep your sign-in details (your e-mail address and a securely hashed password, never the password itself), your two-step verification settings and a record of security events such as sign-ins.
Please do not send passwords, payment card details or other sensitive personal information through the contact form.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and discuss whether and how we can help.
- To provide, secure and support services you have agreed to receive from us.
- To protect our website and accounts from misuse.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your inquiry for unrelated marketing.
Cookies
This website uses only cookies that are needed for it to work: one that protects the contact form from automated submissions, and, for client portal users, cookies that keep you securely signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics.
Service providers
We use carefully chosen service providers to host this website and to deliver e-mail. They process information only on our behalf and under our instructions. Some providers may store or process information outside your province or outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Client data
When a business uses our client services, it decides what information is processed. We process that information on its behalf, keep each business's information separate from every other business, limit access to authorised people and never store payment card numbers.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries that do not lead to a business relationship for no longer than 24 months. Account and security records are kept for as long as an account is active and for a limited period afterwards, as needed for security and legal purposes.
How we protect it
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections, restricted access and strong authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if something goes wrong.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to legal limits. To do so, or if you have a question or concern about privacy, contact us through our contact form. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
